Nobody throws a party like Barrington Stage Company, and they are always gay friendly events. In fact it is the LGBT's in the mix that adds the extra spice. This Carnivale is a fundraiser for the company - but one that is affordable for most of us. So come, let your hair down, or put it up - it's going to be a good time!

Carnivale in Rio is the hottest celebration on earth. But it is summer there. In the Berkshires we are in a deep freeze and we will keep our clothes on, thank you, and still have a good time.
Carnivale is scheduled a full week ahead of the rest of the world, how's that for being ahead of the crowd! To keep the good times rolling, you can hop a jet to Rio, Trinidad, New Orleans or Venice to sample the real thing, a four day celebration that begins February 12 and ends on February 16 ("Fat Tuesday") at midnight signaling the upcoming 40 days of Lent.

For this fundraiser, Barrington Stage Company stages the sizzling Brazilian celebration of Carnivale in the Berkshires at Jae’s Spice Upstairs. Beat the winter blues with hot music plus great food and drink. Dress your best (be mysterious behind a fabulous mask if you feel so inspired!) and dance the night away with the rhythmic and upbeat Boston Latin band Los Sugar Kings. Carnivale starts at 8pm with a spicy Latin Dance lesson to get you in top-shape of a night of wild dancing! The ticket includes delicious hors d’oeuvres & an unlimited specialty cocktail! There will be a special VIP pre-party dinner at 6pm that includes three course dinner, open bar ALL NIGHT, and entry to the Carnivale party!

The Gay Berkshires calendar seems pretty bare as we head into the unpredictable winter months, but there is life in the old girl yet!

You don't have to wait till New Years to shake it up! Jae's Spice and DJ BFG will help you keep the party going and let you get your dance on Saturday December 26th from 10 pm to 2 am. Mixed company, LGBT always welcome and part of the throng.

DJ BFG will be doing his thing like only he can, delivering the hottest beats for you to shake your groove thing to. Those who know what BFG can do , well then you know, those who don't about time you let BFG deliver to you the spins you can't get enough of.

At Jae's they don't care if you've been naughty or nice, they just want you to party, meet other great people and above all, get out on that dance floor, having some fun.

Jae's Spice is located at 297 North Street in Pittsfield and there is a $5.00 cover. 21+ is the rule.

Start the weekend early this Thursday, June 4 with DJ BFG at Jae's Spice. Those of you who love dancing and socializing know that the club and crowd are very LGBT friendly, and this promises to be a great time. The music starts at 9:00 and runs until Midnight. (12:05 to be precise.)

Jae's Spice is at 297 North Street in Pittsfield and I usually find a parking space within a block or so. For those of you attending the opening of The Producers at the Colonial, here's the perfect after-show destination!
